Presenting Yeezy Season 3 at Madison Square Garden, hip-hop artist turned designer Kanye West doubled the clothing presentation as a listening party for his new album, ‘The Life of Pablo’.
Following in the same vein of his first two collections with a street wear, athleisure vibe, West offered something new with a variety of hues including burnt orange, turquoise and red. Oversized tattered sweaters, parkas and long coats are paired with form-fitting bodysuits and leggings. Footwear varies between heeled boots and sneakers.
After launching CR Fashion Book in 2012, Carine Roitfeld now has a new supplement called CR Girls 2016.
The portfolio features the some of the world’s top models including Gigi Hadid, Irina Shayk, Nina Agdal, Bella Hadid, Carine’s daughter Julia Restoin Roitfeld and newcomer Amina Blue. The girls pose in looks from Yeezy Season 2 designed by Kanye West in sultry black and white images photographed by Sante D’Orazio.
“I am very loyal to models I like, from Julia my daughter and love forever, to my new girl Amina Blue,” says Carine about the shoot. “I decided to make this shoot very sexy, like the one I did with Steven Meisel for Pirelli—using oversized clothes and sportswear mixed with high heels by Gianvito Rossi, and reflecting the military mood of Kanye’s show. His show inspired me with the form of the girls too. They all looked tough, but sexy.”
The 48-page special edition arrives on newsstands on February 26th with CR 8, which brings together three separate volumes and over 500 pages of content to make our biggest issue yet.
