The weekend saw The X Factor live shows commence. Of course there was the “music” but we were keeping a keen eye on the fashion.
Side cut outs seemed to be the look of the moment with Nicole Scherzinger pulling out all the stops as she oozed timeless Hollywood glamour in a striking black, high neck gown.
The 35-year-old singer looked effortlessly elegant as she joined fellow judges Sharon Osbourne, Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh on stage to hear the results of the first public vote.
However Ellie Golding’s take on side split was perhaps not quite as elegant. Protecting her modesty with a frumpy nude body suite, Ellie managed to make this Macdonald designer number look more christmas cracker than high fashion.
To make matters worse this dress has previously been seen on Beyonce who of course looked nothing but flawless in images for her Mrs Carter world tour.
