Fixing Luka was the big winner of the night at the 4th annual Limelight Film and Arts Award ceremony. The annual awards that celebrates, promotes and identifies new and emerging film makers took place on Thursday the 23rd June 2011 at the Troxy in East London.
Jessica Ashman along with the team behind the animation Fixing Luka were surprised to win awards for Best Animation, Best Visual and the £10,000 production award known as the ‘Film of the Night Award.’
The event was hosted by comedian Kat and over 500 film makers, industry professionals, government and corporate bodies, including Philip Barnard (7 Years in Tibet), Director Ben Peters (N-Dubz), BBC Shorts, Ameet Chana (Bend it Like Beckham, Eastenders), Martin Gooch (Harry Potter) 2’n a half men (Britain’s Got Talent), Leonard Foster (Flavour Magazine) and individuals from the local council and corporate world attended to celebrater the winners of 2011, via 14 awards categories.
