The Dance Show now has even more opportunities to get fit and experience dance in all its glory – it’s the must-attend dance and fitness event of the year. Flavour have teamed up with The Dance Show to give one lucky person and a friend the chance to go for free!
On The Spirit Stage, catch performances from leading professionals, celebrity dancers, dance troupes and leading dance schools and academies in every style imaginable from ballet and ballroom and hip hop to salsa. Plus, new for 2011 catch all the hottest music acts including Her Majesty & The Wolves featuring ex- Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt.
The Freestyle Stage sponsored by Kinect for Xbox 360 will be the place to take to the take to the stage and impress thousands of dance fans. Back by popular demand, leading choreographers will once again be taking dancers through their paces as they take part in mock style auditions at West End Bootcamp. Dancers will be taught a popular routine from a West End show, which they’ll perform live in front of a panel of judges.
Hosted by leading dance teachers and choreographers, two purpose built dance studios, each offering workshops and masterclasses will allow everyone from beginners through to advanced level to take part in interactive classes and learn the very latest dance routines and skills. This year’s classes will be lead by Britain’s Got Talent finalist Tobias Mead, So You Think You Can Dance’s Lizzie Gough, David Wood from leading dance agency Dancers Inc. and Pineapple dancers Dominique Tipper & Jay Revell. Zest and Whatsonstage.com are the official partners of the studios so whether it’s burlesque, zumba, tap, or jazz that gets dancers up on the floor – there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy! Plus, for those who simply want to improve their fitness, there’ll be a whole range of fitness classes to help cater for even the most fanatic of fitness fans.
New to this year’s show, dance classes inspired by the UK’s favourite music videos from stars such as Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Kylie will be available to get dancers into the groove. What’s more, choreographers from West End Shows will be on hand to teach routines inspired by the most loved musicals such as Dirty Dancing and Billy Elliot!
The Dance Show takes place alongside Clothes Show Live in association with Suzuki- with every ticket giving you access to both shows, including a dedicated seat in the famous Suzuki Fashion Theatre, for a spectacular 45-minute dance and fashion showcase – it’s the ultimate day out!
