JLS’s Aston Merrygold will be a judge on the next series of Got To Dance
Aston, who shot to fame with his fellow boy band members on the X Factor in 2008, will be replacing Adam Garcia.
As you can imagine Aston is pretty excited about the news: “I have always been a fan of Got To Dance and I’m absolutely buzzing to be part of the best dance show on TV. My past experience on talent shows will help me understand what the contestants are going through and I can’t wait to get started,” he said.
Aston will join returning judges Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Banjo on the show, which returns in 2013.
Chris Brown and Drake Sued for $16 Million
Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., the company that owns the night club W.i.P., where Chris Brown and Drake’s entourages scuffled on June 14, is now suing the two performers for $16 million.
According to a lawsuit filed in New York, the singers “shared a grudge against the other arising out of their romantic relationships with the same woman.” The woman in question, if you’re wondering, is Rihanna – and when they “crossed paths” at the club and started brawling, they ordered more than a dozen “heavily built men” in their crews “to fight violently with each other.”
The document notes their entourages “fashioned deadly weapons out of whatever materials they could find,” including “shattering the handles of bottles of spirits to use as makeshift knives, and even throwing full bottles at each other.”
The company is claiming $16 million from Brown and Drake for “gross negligence,” and “intentional illegal acts.” The file also says the singers “should have foreseen that their notoriety and celebrity would ensure that their acts had far-reaching and devastating effects.”
RnB Beef: Trey Songz Vs Ne-Yo
It seems Ne-Yo has managed to upset fellow singer and friend Trey Songz by offering him some “constructive criticism” recently during a radio show interview.
Ne-Yo was quoted as saying: “Trey’s one of them dudes that could be a serious problem if he decided to put that emotion in there. Just the emotional disconnect is there.”
As you can imagine straightforward observation didn’t settle too well with Trey: “I’ma talk to Ne-Yo when I see him. It ain’t even that. The thing is that Ne-Yo knows me,” said Songz responding to the criticism during an interview with 106 KMEL. “Ain’t no need to have that conversation for the world to hear, you know. And I feel like that’s a sucker move. It’s all good though. I’m a real ni*ga. They gon’ take shots.”
