Dizzee Rascal once again unleashes his musical magic with the release of his new single ‘Goin’ Crazy’ featuring Robbie Williams. The unusual collaboration sees the renowned MC going head to head with the former Take That legend.
‘Goin’ Crazy’ serves as an indie-driven influenced single, which brings the two artists together on pimped out scooters, and we mean a lot of scooters. Directed by Andreas Nillson who is famous for his distinctly dark yet humorous work with Kanye West, MGMT and Mike Snow – the single was filmed in Los Angeles.
Speaking about the video, Dizzee said: “Having Robbie involved has been good. When his name came up, I was excited about it. We went to his house to record it. It’s not often on these things you sit in the same studio any more. He told me some amazing stories.”
Robbie, who now seems to have developed a rather special bond with the star, also added: “I love Dizzee’s vibe, his energy and he is a real talent. He seems to be the voice of this generation, so it was a no-brainer.”
‘Goin’ Crazy’ is described as a taste of what is to come from Dizzee in the next few months. He kicked off the year with the release of his second mixtape: Dirtee TV Presents The Mixtape Vol.2 which spawned the Eucharist that was Bassline Junkie. Recently he dropped ‘H-Town’, a track featuring hip hop legend and godfather of the dirty south, Bun-B and Houston’s king of the streets Trae The Truth.
Goin’ Crazy released on 17 June is taken from Dizzee’s forthcoming new album ‘The Fifth’. Click above to watch the video.
