Where did the inspiration behind your name come from?
It came from my college days. I was called Twisted for various reasons [laughs] but when I did my first video, I was advised that Twissman may be a bit more acceptable in the public eye.
What are you most excited about now with your career?
I’m exciting about elevating my career as an Artist. At the moment my first official release “The Way She Moves” featuring Tayong is doing very well on all fronts. I’ve also just completed an Album called “This is Twissman” which has been produced by Woo Allen [Formerly of Deathrow]. It features talent from the UK, US and Sweden so I’m very excited to see how far it goes.
Your first passion was Sport – Which Sport?
Rugby, as I played it at a very professional high level during school and college.
How do you rate yourself musically on a scale of 1-10?
I actually rate myself quite highly, but not in a big headed way! Reason being is because lyrically I’ve made a lot of progression and have learnt how to cater to certain audiences as I have been doing music for a while. I’m also extremely motivated and very focused. In other words it’s far from a hobby, it’s a lot more than that.
10/10 [laughs]
What drives you?
My immediate family drive me a lot and always support me as they know I put 100% into my music. Also life in itself is a big drive as I see many different things and visions so I like to write them down. My fans have supported me throughout and I will always try and better myself to give them what they want.
What can you not go a day without?
Music.
With your current album who did you most enjoy working with?
Everyone really, I have to give a massive shout out to ‘Woo’. I’ve enjoyed collaborating with Sway, G-fresh, Jonas [SW] and Jinny B.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Working hard to make my name memorable.
Who is your favourite UK artist out now?
Tayong TYN
‘The Way She Moves’ is out now.
