Max Marshall is one of the canniest operators and boldest talents currently residing in London. The American born, singer-songwriter, recently released her mixtape, ‘Forgive Me’ featuring some remarkable refix’s of tracks by Frank Ocean, Lana Del Ray and Grace Jones. With the flag of her Baltimore roots and East London heritage flying high — the rising star is producing a hefty feast of modern RnB imposed with influences and instruments. This, ladies and gentlemen, is a lady that knows what she’s doing, no surprise to hear her drawing comparisons to Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu.
The material within ‘Forgive Me’ runs deep into the guts, like all of its RnB mash-ups rolled into one outstanding entity. She also forging a successful career in the world of fashion, designing wigs for pop supreme Lady Gaga. Max’s latest track is a body of work that musically stands apart from the rest. And now she is ready to make her mark, the 21-year-old will release her debut single, ‘Don’t Trip’ on August 16.
