Ford Transit
This is arguably the most popular van in Britain, with Ford passing the 7 million sales mark in 2015, and it isn’t hard to see why. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
We often forget that Mercedes-Benz also makes commercial vehicles as well as cars, but if you look out on the roads, you will see plenty. This is one of the pricier models in this list. However, it provides you with a choice of multiple wheelbases, lengths, heights, loading lengths, three different roof variants, numerous engines and more. Vauxhall Vivaro
This model is fundamentally the same as the Renault Trafic. However, the Vauxhall version completely outsells the Renault. It is available in two models, and there are also five variations of the fuel efficient engine, so you can do your bit for the environment while transporting your goods. It has the capacity for up to 1,281kg and up to 8.6 cubic metres of load space, so you will have plenty of room for all of your products.
Volkswagen Transporter
This another van that has dotted British motorways for decades. The older models of the Transporter are living out the rest of their days as camper vans, but the current model sells very well. It is in its sixth generation, and after 65 years of continual improvements and upgrades, it continues to be very popular.
There are two wheelbases and three roof heights that can be chosen, but the largest in the range provides an overall load volume of 9.3 cubic metres and a load length of 2,975 mm, making it the largest load compartment in its class, with space for up to three Euro Pallets.
Peugeot Partner
Last, but certainly not least, is the Peugeot Partner, a small van with a practical load area that would be most suitable for delivery drivers, electricians and plumbers. Its running costs are low due to its clean, economical diesel engines and there are two length options available. There is also a five-seater named ‘Tepee,’ which makes for a very efficient taxi. With more upgrades and enhancements to its exterior and interior, the Partner is particularly functional and is designed to last.
