My favourite songs by Aaliyah were not the most recent, commercial ones (although I loved them too), but her old material, which showcased her ability to do real RnB in a manner that sounded, and is, timeless.
This single from her debut album Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number may have come out in 1994, but it is still as relevant to RnB today as it was then.
