Let the games commence. Have you heard that Savage Garden, London’s wildest rooftop bar, launched a brand new weekend brunch concept called the ‘Play Brunch’?
Savage Garden is one of London’s wildest sky-high destination, and together brings decadent décor, jaw-dropping views, dramatic cocktails and savage menus to Tower Hill.
With favourite tipples and elements of play incorporated, the new brunch menu is filled with savagely delicious dishes that include ‘panko chicken cutlet, with a bacon and radish salad’ and ‘cranberry, caper, sriracha mayo and a sunny-side fried egg’.
Another hotly tipped favourite by Executive Chef Damien Chorley is the ‘bourbon-glazed beef short rib charred sourdough poached eggs’, serving as a reminder that the Play Brunch is as far removed from the traditional ‘eggs + bacon + fizz’ brunch combination as possible.
Moreover, unlike other brunches in town, Savage Garden has introduced a selection of enticing sharing cocktails paired together with a unique drinking game, available to order and play directly at the table amongst friends.
Experiences available to order include ‘Ginga’ (a play on the traditional ‘Jenga’ using gin), where diners are challenged by the tower of blocks each bearing a command, whether to take a shot or your best selfie. The refreshing cocktail is created using Hendricks, lemon juice, elderflower cordial and limoncello.
Another cult favourite that should induce memories from early adulthood is ‘Spin the Bottle’. No explanation of the rules is needed for this nostalgic game, and players will sip on a cocktail of Crystal Head vodka, pineapple juice, apricot brandy and lime juice whilst following the bottle’s instructions.
So start your Spring as you mean to go on – get your weekend plans organised and #pressplay on your inner compère.
Play Brunch kicks off on 9 March and will be available every Saturday and Sunday from 12 until 4pm. To book a table visit www.savagegarden.co.uk or call 020 7709 1043.
