The L’Agent by Agent Provocateur SS17 collection simmers with tributes to dark romance, fine whispery nudes and temptations of the flesh that beg for their time in the sun.

Right when buds are blossoming, the fruit is ripening on the trees, the world is an open promise. Drawing inspiration from late 80’s coming-of-age films such as Pretty in Pink, the collection simmers with gossamer-fine whispery nudes, charming sprigs of flowers and temptations of the flesh that beg for their time in the sun.
Is it there or is it not? The wink of transparency is a key theme for the SS17 collections. Sheer laces, naked fishnet, tulle as nude as a nymph’s sigh; the lingerie is crafted to keep them guessing.
The filigree fine Angelica in a new high-apex three-piece plunge shape is spun from nude tulle and accented with citrus-fresh lime lace. Cateline is similarly naked, made from a blushing lace that bursts with luxuriant blooms, whilst Aishley creates a tattoo effect on the skin with the ciré embroidery flowers and the hugely popular Siena makes a return in a buffed blush shade burnished with gold lurex.
A flowering of hot-to-the-touch ranges tie in perfectly with Valentine’s gifting this year, with coquettish Flossie leading the way in all its fluoro glory: super sheer tulle plumped with fluoro pink love hearts, it’s more gigglingly beguiling than the siren ranges.
To wit, step up Idalia – back to slay hearts in rich scarlet with a full range from trixie to bumless body – or Addie in lipstick-red fine fishnet. Those who prefer a dark romance will fall hard for the Adah range, another super-sheer spell of soft tulle and graphic stretch lace. L’Agent has earned a name for its showstopping bodysuits and Adah’s is an exercise in nipped-in, contour-exaggerating perfection.
Sucker-punch brights, salaciously high-leg cuts and bad intentions: this is the new way to seduce, brought kicking and screaming out of the late 80’s and straight into your 2017 bedroom. The Piiper set is l’Agent’s most nineties-nubile cut to date, with knickers that sit on top of the hipbones or as high as you’d like, and a high apex half-padded bra for a nostalgic silhouette.
The Laurenta body is even more mischievous, cut with a thong back in iridescent yarn for a hot calendar-girl effect.
The early 90’s theme continues with saturated sweet-jar hues such as the Cateline re-colour in acid yellow, the Carra in tutti frutti pink and orange, and Leola – a wear-anywhere crop top shape – returning in spearmint green and girl-next-door denim blue.
