Stars Turn Out For 2013 vInspired National Awards

The Saturdays, A*M*E and Misha B were among the stars who came together in London last night (26 March 13) to celebrate some of the most talented and determined young volunteers.

They were among a bunch of special guests at the vInspired National Awards, which honour young people (under 25) and youth workers who have made a big contribution to their communities through volunteering.   Terry Ryall, vInspired CEO says, “The awards are a chance to celebrate all the great things young people do and celebrate their passion, creativity and determination”.

A total of 6 volunteers were honoured during the glittering ceremony hosted by comedian Eddie Kadi and Katie Piper. 18-year-old Beth Carty, from Chester, picked up The All Round Commitment to Volunteering gong, the Best Young Volunteer title was handed to 16-year-old Amy May Knowles, from Cirencester, Eliza Rebeiro, from Croydon, was also recognised for Bringing Communities Together with Lives Not Knives project and 64-year-old, Linda Markey was hounred with the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Youth Volunteering prize.
