Flavour got actor Frank Harper and former Page 3 favourite Keeley Hazell into the studio for a chat and a photo shoot to celebrate the release of their movie St George’s Day.
Harper makes his directorial debut in this film that sees the football hooligans and cockney criminal themes married together in this new gritty British crime thriller – two subject the actor slash director and co-writer of the film knows very well since he also starred in The Football Factory and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
The movie follows the story of infamous gangster cousins Micky Mannock and Ray Collishaw (Harper and Craig Fairbrass). Having long since graduated from the terraces they now run the top firm in London. But when they lose a drug shipment belonging to the Russian Mafia, a turf war threatens to tear their empire apart.
To settle their debts, the boys plan the ultimate heist in Berlin to coincide with an England-Germany football match. Which is where their violently ‘patriotic’ crack team of criminal masterminds friends come in.
But with the Russian’s hot on their trail, a wily detective (Jamie Foreman) with a vendetta, and a mole in their midst – can the boys pull it off one last time?
The cast is filled out by a familiar mix of Brit-flick stalwarts, soap stars and one or two of the countries most amazing actors Craig Fairbrass (Cliffhanger), Vincent Regan (300), Neil Maskell (Kill List), Luke Treadaway (Attack The Block), Keeley Hazell (Like Crazy), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), Jamie Foreman (Nil by Mouth, Eastenders) and Ashley Walters (Top Boy, Small Island).
Model Keeley Hazell, 25, has given up posing topless to pursue acting and plays a gangster’s moll in the film described as a “Peckham Princess” by her gangster fella (Harper). Check out this talented team in our exclusive interview and photo shoot.
