Miss Fenty’s first collection for popular high street brand River Island was met with mixed reviews when it debuted at London Fashion Week early this year. Maybe it was the whole transition from music artist to designer that people found a little bit hard to accept. I mean hey, singers don’t notoriously make the best designers just look at Beyonce, LL Cool J and Lil Wayne (plus many more) Although we love them they’ve all had failed clothing lines or just generally poor sales at some point.
However, Rihanna’s decided to break the mold if her Autumn/Winter collection is anything to go by. It’s doing amazingly well with over twenty pieces already selling out online so I’m guessing she’s rolling in a pile of cash somewhere looking very smug. The collection consists of the usual urban street inspired pieces including oversized jackets, crop-tops and a whole lotta camo.
