After forming a number of years ago and achieving several net radio No. 1’s with their first album, rock collective Way Up are set to release their next album BIG WAVE on 8th October 2017.
Founded in Scotland a number of years ago by Scott Kerr and his old school friend Brian Scott, Way Up have evolved into a collective of musicians who remain to base themselves in Scotland, with 11 different musicians on their latest release ranging in age from 25-70. After being in a variety of different bands prior to forming Way Up, Scott and Brian both decided it was time to create something that they were truly passionate about, and take it in their own direction.
Written by Scott himself, the album features 10 diverse quirky rock tunes, addressing political and religious issues, with each track introducing a new topic to make for an engaging and immersive listening experience. As a collective who strongly believe in inclusivity through music, the group worked hard to include a different community to work alongside in order to raise their profile through music. For the Big Wave release, Way Up worked with a local LGBT community who created a music video to accompany the song.
The album is set to be released on 8th October 2017 and hopefully followed by some live dates in the new year.
