The brand spanking new trailer of Ripper Street series 4 has now been unleashed. The Ripper Street Series 4 will be available exclusively for Amazon Prime Members in the UK from 15th January 2016.
David Threlfall (Shameless) and Matthew Lewis (Harry Potter) join series regulars Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn, Adam Rothenberg, MyAnna Buring and Charlene McKenna for the highly-anticipated new series.
The series kicks off with a dramatic feature-length episode on Friday 15th January with each new episode being made available weekly every Friday. Jay Marine, Vice President Amazon Video EU says,
“Ripper Street has a tremendously loyal fan base and is nothing short of a British institution. We’re delighted to be launching the new series exclusively for Prime members in the UK.”
The new series begins in the summer of 1897 with Queen Victoria celebrating her diamond jubilee. Edmund Reid (Matthew Macfadyen, The Enfield Haunting) has left the force which gave him his career and left the neighbourhood which shaped his life. He finds himself drawn back to Whitechapel when he discovers that his old friend Isaac Bloom (Justin Avoth, Merlin) is set to hang for a brutal murder; a murder of which Reid believes him incapable.
Detective Inspector Bennet Drake (Jerome Flynn, Game of Thrones) has now risen to the level of Head of H Division, holding a position of trust and status in Whitechapel. What’s more, he’s now married to the love of his life Rose Erskine (Charlene McKenna, Raw). The last two years have treated Rose kindly but, despite her happy marriage and successful career, she can’t help but be troubled that she and Drake have so far been unable to have a child.
