With performances on the night also by actor and emcee SnakeyMan, rapper 2Badda, X-Factor’s Anastasia and acoustic reggae artist Sam Garrett this was guaranteed to be a night not to be missed.
One of the hottest rising comedians Kane Brown hosted the night and kept the crowd laughing and entertained between sets.
Last month’s open mic winner 2Badda kicked off the proceedings with his mellow but infectious flow that had the crowd instantly swaying. Next up was Sam Garrett who came all the way down from the north of England to perform his amazing tracks Olivia and Butterflies (Check out the video to Olivia below).
Dancehall artist Mr Midas bowled onto stage after Sam. Having seem Mr Midas perform a number of times with solely a backing track it was great to see him on stage with a live band behind him performing an emotional number. It showed a different side to the talented artist and presenter before he hit us with his latest dancehall joints.
Having see Arnold ‘SnakeyMan’ Oceng on the big screen in films such as Adulthood and 4321 for many attending this was the first time that they had seen him perform musically despite him having won an Urban Music Award for best newcomer back in 2008.
Singer Ashleigh Ashley looked amazing in these big trousers by Lall London and space age accessories are by Jacob Kimmie. That combined with her amazing voice singing songs she wrote herself like Shades of Blue, she simply blew the crowd away with her performance.
Stepping centre stage next was X-Factor contest Anastasia who you should remember from the show as she got to judges houses with Cheryl Cole before her journey was cut short. Despite this she has attracted the attention of management and increased her fanbase and we were excited to have her perform at Flavour Live. Coinciding with her birthday, her friends and family turned out in the bucket load to see her put on what was an amazing performance.
X-Factor’s Miss Frank looked and sounded great as they performed with The Bakery band and Egypt who always looks amazing wore a figure hugging peach dress and stole our attention immediately as she step on stage. Having never seen her perform with a live band before hearing her funky house smash hit In the Morning live was a real treat. Her vocals sailed effortlessly over each chord and the backing singers and band did an excellent job with their rendition of the track. Egypt ended the session by performing some new material and Kane ended the show with some light banter.
In between sets DJ’s Sir Big Kid and DJ Chef helped keep the vibes going playing the latest club bangers. See you at the next event on Thursday 10th February at Sway Bar.
