Following the release of her gutsy emotional ballad, ‘Second Hand’. LION, aka Beth Lowen, returns with her new single ‘Wolf’
LION will also play a string of UK dates this summer, including headlining the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds Festival, and NME Girls To The Front at Shacklewell Arms on 30th July.
LION pays true homage to her moniker, defiantly roaring the anthemic chorus in ‘Wolf’, with fast-paced fingerpicking guitar adding speed and depth to the single. Speaking to us on her new track, Beth commented “it’s about being fucking scared and not knowing what the hell you’re doing and just rolling with it. It’s a song of release, a personal song about myself and mental health problems and taking a leap of faith”
Directed by Elliott Gonzo, the enchanting video for ‘Wolf’ perfectly captures and mirrors the rebellious and bold nature of the single. “I wanted to let Elliott do his thing, he has a wonderful mind and knows me pretty well so I knew he would capture the song in a beautiful way.”
