Quirky Duo Lonely Soup Day Release ‘Fairground Accident’ –Experimental Pop Music that Will Intrigue and Unravel.

Molly Kerr and Chris Kenworthy are  Lonely Soup Day and they aren’t afraid to try something different. Both Molly and Chris are actors who have taken what they’ve learned from acting and brought it into their music through improvisation. Taking influence from nineties acts like Frenté, The Breeders and the Cranberries, as well as contemporary artists like Lisa Mitchell, Missy Higgins and The Jezabels, Lonely Soup Day blend dreamy folk-pop with punchy indie-rock, to create something unique to them.

For the past decade, both Molly and Chris have been creating music casually. It was only upon meeting and making music together, that they produced anything either of them liked. When working together on creating music, the eclectic duo feel genuinely inspired, experiencing that deep feeling that the music is coming from another time and place.

Everything is recorded and produced by Chris himself. He explains their recording process,“We record everything. Every time I pick up the guitar, a recording device is switched on and we record what I come up with. If something sounds good, Molly starts singing – just nonsense. We then listen back to it, and keep recording these non-demos while sitting on the couch.”

This process can take years from the initial demo recordings to the final product. Slowly piecing the tracks together by adding additional layers and overdubs as they go.
