Canadian rapper Ekelle bares her soul on stunning new visuals for her single ‘Dark Skin & Tattoos’.
The body positive rapper demands our attention with a lovely white backdrop filled with symbolic notions of love and heartbreak.
On the video, Ekelle said, “I wanted to do an abstract contract. I wanted to find a symbolic way to show a breakup that would have people in their feels a bit. I chose to do a white room and have 2 lovers with all the joys and hardships of a relationship written all over like they were baring their souls,”
“What I want people to take from this is that if it’s not a right fit then it’s not a right fit no matter what you do. You should never force things. It might be hard but it’s best to just move forward, don’t block your blessings.”
Ekelle is a multi-genre artist and songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. Ekelle rhymes about relationships, money, life in the Tdot, women’s issues and other areas that have affected her life to create a style that she calls ‘Hood Pop’ – Popular music with a street edge.
