Oxford Street today announced the exciting news that international superstar Kylie Minogue will switch on its spectacular Christmas Lights on Sunday 1st November outside the PANDORA Marble Arch flagship store, as it officially launches London’s festive shopping season.
The hugely anticipated event kicks off from 5.30pm, in partnership with one of the world’s largest jewellery brands PANDORA and will be hosted by Capital London’s award-winning Breakfast Show presenters Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon.
The iconic show promises to excite and entertain shoppers from start to finish with a stellar line up of live performances from some of the UK’s freshest and coolest acts including Foxes, Fleur East, Ben Haenow and Gabrielle Aplin as well as a member of the cast of Matilda The Musical.
For the first time ever, the world famous Switch On will be taken to another level by broadcasting the show to a global audience through Periscope, capturing all of the action live, instantly bringing the event to millions around the world through the social link!
Those in the audience will also be invited to engage with the show by sharing their experience using the hashtag #OXSTmoments – posts will then appear on supersize screens across Oxford Street.
This year’s event will be held on a traffic–free Sunday – inviting families, shoppers and visitors alike to enjoy the start of their Christmas shopping in an enhanced environment along West Oxford Street from 2pm. What’s more over forty high street stores have joined forces to offer exclusive discounts, in-store events and on-street activity for this special day only – free shopping tickets can be downloaded at oxfordstreet.co.uk/oxstshines.
