PiMO to release a selection of three re-worked classics

pimo

PiMO has taken the unusual yet inventive step to remix three of his previous works that deserve more recognition.

PiMO is an artist with a global following thanks to works with Modfunk and Thrill Kill, with the latter boasting air time on the remade series 90210 and Modfunk having fans in the form of Daft Punk producer Busy P and DJ Mehdi. The task of recreating a song from the ground up is an ambitious feat, and one he does not take lightly, aiming to contain similar melodic ideas and the important hooks for the aptly named singleBonus Beats, PiMO’s remix’s include: Calling Earth, By Your Side and Lion Heart and is set to be released on the 20th March.

Born and raised on music from his parents; Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Pink Floyd, and Dire StraitsPiMO’s earliest memory is the police knocking on the door of his house demanding they turn the music down, almost foreshadowing what was to come in his career.

Bonus Beats by PiMO

PiMO performs all the instruments, writes all the songs, produces, and keeps close eye on all the artwork designs and videos for his releases, allowing him complete creative control. On top of that all the music he releases is available through his own record company PiMO MUSIC. PiMO has been quoted saying; “This is the first time I feel like I can do anything. Music is my life, and this era is all about freedom and composing high quality electronic dance music without any compromises.”

PiMO’s eclectic taste in music results in his unique amalgamation of new age 80s tunes from the likes of Duran Duran and New Order with the heavy beats of artists such as Grandmaster Flash and Break Machine. This creative combination of artists creates scenic pop songs akin to the soundscapes of Giorgio Moroder with a sprinkling of Daft Punk. Bonus Beats is no different, although it involves much more dance and club style beats that PiMO has mixed to make a floor-filling sound for huge clubs and big venues.
