Cath Kidston created London’s very first ‘pick your own’ field of flowers ahead of Mothers Day this weekend.
On a sunny Southbank in London, the iconic Great British brand recreated their signature polkadot print out of 4,000 pink and white gerboras, which the public were invited to come and pick to bring home to mothers ahead of this weekend.
The installation used over 60,000 petals and took a total 650 man hours to design and complete – but served as a vibrant reminder of Mothers Day to those who are likely to forget (according to statistics, that’s 64% of us!)
The pictures of the installation are beautiful, and the time-lapse video captures the sun rise over the installation build and London backdrop.
