Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel hosted a new fashion show on Saturday 8 July, bringing the 2018 Cruise collections from five top names in Spanish fashion: Alvarno, Jorge Vázquez, Teresa Helbig, Andrés Sardá and Desigual.
The event was organised by IFEMA – through its Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid -, Mercedes-Benz Spain and Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel.
The fashion show culminated with a fusion of fashion and music, with the final run by the brand Alvarno, accompanied by DJ Black Coffee, followed by a live show from Paul Reynolds (resident DJ at Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel) alongside a saxophonist at an after-party held at the new Hï Ibiza.
This first edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Weekend Ibiza had an international presence, with guests from all over the world, and featured Cathy Guetta as the social host. Rosa Clará, Fiona Ferrer, top model Raica Oliveira, Carlos Martorell, Spanish actress Macarena Gomez and Aldo Comas were among the guests who attended the inaugural event.

This new fashion event joins more than 50 shows that Mercedes-Benz supports around the world. Reiner Hoeps, President of Mercedes-Benz Spain, says: “What happened tonight was far beyond our expectations. It was magical. Designers, models parading on a catwalk floating on water, our special guests…we are thinking about how to make it even better for next year”.

JORGE VÁZQUEZ
Jorge Vazquez Resort 2018 is a beach-chic collection with relaxed and casual clothes for a woman who wants to bring back the seventies look. Day-wear denim clothes, knitted and taffeta, are combined with evening-wear rich silk, gauze and crepe silk muslins. The Galician designer works with a warm colour palette.
TERESA HELBIG
SEVEN SEAS – GOOD VIBES: A journey through the opulent Caribbean, austere Atlantic, romantic Mediterranean, and vigorous California Pacific featured on easy couture jewellery with the Helbig seal.
ANDRÉS SARDÁ
Andrés Sardá presents High Season, developed by the company’s Creative Director, Núria Sardá. Amazing and full of contrasts, the resort collection is featured next to special pieces only available by order.
DESIGUAL
Desigual has presented 20 looks that embody the pure essence of Desigual, inspired by a trip through the roads of Ibiza and the exotic air of the Mediterranean. The protagonists: patchwork and white colour.
