Electronic experimental duo Original Swimming Party have announced the release of their new single Biggest Curse featuring vocalist Moonchild Sanelly. Taken from their forthcoming remix EP, the single will be available to stream from October 6th.
Founded in 2013, Original Swimming Party is an audio-visual duo from Cape Town South Africa. The band have become known for drawing influences from their African rhythm and harmony and merging it with elements of electronic and experimental sounds. In 2014 Original Swimming Party released their debut EP ‘The Blue’ which received international acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, who named the band a ‘refreshing electronic experimentation, awash with surprises’.
On the new single, Original Swimming Party has teamed up with African funk vocalist Moonchild Sanelly, bringing a new lustre to the band’s sound. The duo announced the release of their new single on their official Facebook page earlier this week. News of the new single has met with anticipation and excitement from Original Swimming Party’s fans across the world. ‘Biggest Curse’ is the follow-up to the bands acclaimed single ‘Weeping Song II’, taken from their first full-length LP Hypergiant released earlier this year.
