New Zealand based multi-talented MC/singer Felix The Great has released a captivating debut single ‘No Sleep’ which has already hit number 1 on iTunes NZ R&B charts.
Born in Harare, Zimbabwe his debut R&B/ hip-hop single ‘No Sleep’ which is set to release is a catchy anthem which is laced with bravado and finesse.
‘No Sleep’ was mastered by Sydney based Matt Fioravanti who’s accredited to mixing rising hip-hop artist Kwame’s EP Conversations and has worked on musical projects for Phil Fresh and Mel Bailey. The single cover art was taken by Wolfpack Creative’s Matilda Aaltonen who’s clients are Kings, Jess B, Sweetmix Kids and more.
In 2016 he produced his first single I was Never Good at Love under the alias FELIX THE THYRD which went on to be featured by MTV, AFROPUNK and Mai FM. In 2017, FELIX THE THYRD, debuted his EP ‘808s & Heartstrings’ at number 5 on the NZ Top 40 Official Charts, number 1 on the iTunes NZ albums and R&B charts.
In 2018 Felix the Great was born out of a decision to switch up his musical style from alt-pop to R&B/ Hip-hop. Felix would then perform his unreleased debut single ‘No Sleep’ live at Galatos in Auckland and a string of unreleased material at the mini African festival Afropolitans hosted at the Portland Public House.
