After coming 2nd on UK X Factor Celebrity, TikTok stars Max & Harvey have performed sell-outs tours, launched their own Spotify exclusive podcast and are still starring in their own BBC TV show.
Berkshire-based twin brothers have dominated TikTok since its early stages, and have even brought their music career to the main stage at Camp Bestival.
Now back with their highly anticipated new single ‘In My DNA‘, Max & Harvey are showing a very different side to their music and are back with their most personal track yet. The emotional track is dedicated to their grandfather, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
Talking about their track, Max & Harvey tells us “This song means more to us than anything we’ve ever put out into the world. We wanted to tell our Granpop’s story and talk about his life and it took us a long time to work out the perfect way to do that. Whilst writing the song we also had in the back of our minds, the sad fact that our Grandma had been diagnosed with cancer. Sadly she recently passed away, but we were able to play her this song before we lost her, and when she heard it she started to cry. The fact that she knew right away exactly what the song was about meant a lot to us, and we’re so sad she couldn’t be around to see the world hear it. With the current global situation, we wanted to let everyone else hurting from loss or not being able to be with their grandparents know that they’re not alone.”
With the exciting return of live music, Max & Harvey have announced their ‘THIS IS NOT A PHASE’ Tour which kicks off later this year.
The duo said “We’ve missed touring so so much and can’t wait to get back on the road. We can guarantee that it’s going to be the best one yet, with loads of new music and the most energy and planning we’ve ever put into a tour. It’s genuinely the best feeling to be able to perform our songs to people that love listening to them.”
