Fiona’s debut single ‘Give it to me right’ is set to be released on June 15. The single, which samples the Zombies classic ‘Time of the Season’, has been getting widespread support across UK radio networks.
The singer born to Guyanese immigrant parents says: ‘I was this little girl in stature and size, who had this big voice.’
‘My mother, who shares my love for music, played everything from The Ronettes to Whitney Houston around the house as I grew up. My father would let me sit on the stage while he rehearsed with his band as a guitarist. They both heavily influenced me.’
The track is taken from the Canadian born singer-songwriter’s much anticipated debut album ‘The Bridge’ releasing on June 22.
