Matti Roots has released a double A-Side each with accompanying video; I Come In Peace and Out There – both available since March 18th.
This release marks his return to the forefront of the music scene, having only been producing for the majority of the time since his debut album Beatroot back in 2011.
Beatroot was rereleased in 2016 following the success of Matti Roots collaboration with Jaguar Skillz and Chords, changing Roots’ song Lust into a Drum ‘n’ Bass track that went straight to #1 in the Drum ‘n’ Bass charts receiving support from Zane Lowe and Mistajam. Roots’ re-release resulted in his track Let’s Get Back Together reaching #33 in Spotify’s global chart.
As a producer, Matti Roots has had the pleasure of working with the likes of Dua Lipa, Kojey Radical, Mugun, Bento BDA and newcomer Rebecca James, but has been constantly writing music for himself. He began to release these new soulful creations late last year with Loving That.
Matti’s latest releases are a duo of cosmic soul, I Come In Peace is an interstellar love song that touches on the cautious feelings one has at the beginning of a relationship, whilst Out There is a more contemplative song, combining soulful piano with an electro hip-hop beat with the intrepid ease and catchy hooks that define his career.
Matti Roots has numerous plans for future releases and tour dates, be sure to follow his social media to not miss anything!
