Brace yourselves; Mark Morrison’s latest single is beyond anything you’ve heard in a while. The self-proclaimed “King of British R’n’B”, is back with, ‘I Am What I Am’. The RnB singer, who shot to fame with his number one hit, ‘Return of the Mack’, is also planning a fresh assault on the charts together with his long-awaited album and a world tour.
‘I Am What I Am’ finds the veteran songster expressing deep and abiding gratitude to himself. As you may have guessed from the song title, Morrison cleaves closer to his unique sound cutting through the track with his gaudy and glittering harmonies —but that doesn’t mean you contemporary folks will walk away disappointed.
With a remix package including the already leaked Mark Sparks cut featuring Crooked I, Leicester’s first black male solo artist to reach number one in the 90s is back for good. Watch the video for ‘I Am What I Am’ below.
