Nigerian-born Mairé has announced details of her eagerly awaited new single ‘Alhaji’, which will be available to purchase from July 1st 2016.
Mairé recorded the new track in Nigeria with renowned producer Spellz, who helped create a unique sound that was both pop and electro, with Afro-Urban infused beats. ‘Alhaji’ is an up-tempo track, similar to the likes of Beyoncé and Tiwa Savage who Marié names are her influences.
The new single is a female anthem, which Mairé talks about her troubles with men, something all women can relate to. Talking about broken hearts and empty promises, the latest single is a testament to Marié’s craft and songwriting skills.
