We’ve missed Luther here at Flavourmag. One of our favourite actor’s Idris Elba is back on our screens with the gripping and sometimes terrifying edition to Tuesday nights. The combination of witty one liners and gruesome murders makes Luther hard to miss.

There haven’t been many changes in Luther’s world since we last saw him. He’s still mourning his dead wife. He has a collection of postcards from around the world on his mantelpiece – maybe from Alice, or the girl he semi-adopted last time, and he still splits his time between getting those baddies by himself and looking as if he hasn’t slept for a week. His old colleagues are all still in the picture. Officer Kill List is still on the scene. Schenk still stalks Luther’s every move. Ripley is still his little side kid and Luther has landed himself a new love interest. It’s Mary Day, a bad driver, amateur onomast and somebody with zero understanding of personal boundaries.
Luther generally sticks to his woollen overcoat and trademark red tie but off screen Idris is far more daring with his fashion choices. Seen here winning an award for Luther last year, Idris kept it classic in monocrome, skinny legged, black suit and tie with a crisp white shirt, but added some Hollywood Glamour with these £800 studded Christian Louboutin Laofers. Yep even men rock the red soles.
