Love Fame Tragedy: Live at Heaven

The Wombats frontman Matthew “Murph” Murphy performed as his solo project Love Fame Tragedy last week at Heaven in London.  In the heat of the Coronavirus, the venue was still packed from front to back with die-hard Indie fans.

Having previously debuted the project live at Reading Festival last summer, along with headline shows in the UK, Europe, Australia and the USA, LA-based Murph finally brought Love Fame Tragedy back home and we were actually there for it!

From performing loveable fan favourite track ‘My Cheating Heart’ to new songs from his upcoming EP (out March 20th), Murph’s energy is infectious and you don’t have to be a Wombats fan to enjoy.  Time and Time again, Murph proves that indie music isn’t dead and his show at Heaven was physical proof of that. Love Fame Tragedy tracks are catchy, charming and cheery with constant indie vibes throughout.

If you count Heaven as an intimate venue, then we can finally say we saw Murph in an intimate venue before his solo project blows up and seeing Love Fame Tragedy live there’s no doubt in that.

You can next catch Murph as Love Fame Tragedy on 23rd May at Neighbourhood Weekender
