This year, the first ever Official London Plus Size Fashion Weekend will be held. Local and international designers, models and retailers have the chance to showcase their thoughts and unique designs, celebrating plus sized women as they do so. We live in a society where there is a growing percentage of plus sized women, so instead of always feeling the need to lose weight or be skinny, this event allows these women to embrace their curves and celebrate all that is great about being curvy.
The function is going to be hosted by a list of inspirational speakers, including Big Brother 2012 contestant, Rebecca Hannon, who will be a Curvy Ambassador for the event. There will also be a catwalk sponsored by ‘Simply Be’, where professional models will be showcasing the latest fashion trends through collections from American and European designers.
An all-day plus size market space will be open where there will be a swap shop hosted by the well-known international French blogger, Gaelle Vanessa Prudencio. Also, a panel discussion with industry professionals to answer all of your questions and share their ideas of how they wish to change the plus size market.
It will be a jam packed weekend full of fashion festivities to commemorate just how far plus size fashion has come, a must for every fashionista. Enhance, Educate and Empower.
