The Voice UK runner-up relives the moment he made the Black Eyed Peas frontman cry and also dishes on his upcoming tour.
He’s been forging a successful music career since his time on The Voice UK. But for anyone who may have forgotten Jaz Ellington from the BBC talent show, the powerhouse singer has offered a helpful reminder – by revealing he is working on his hotly anticipated debut album.
The 28-year-old was tipped to win the 2012 singing competition, after reducing Will.i.am to tears following a spine-chilling performance of John Legend’s Ordinary People.
The Black Eye Peas judge can’t exactly be blamed when you look back at Jaz’s killer performance, but the humbled singer-songwriter thinks differently. “I think anybody else who would have executed that song at that time might have had the same effect,” he said.
Though he’s reality show dream may have come to an end, Jaz’s real-life vision is about to begin. Watch he’s full interview with Flavour’s Noel Phillips backstage at vInspired’s recent National Awards above.
