J-SOL is one to watch, fresh out of The Brit School this up and coming talent has already caught the attention of some big names in the industry – “What an amazing voice” says Marvin Humes (former member of JLS).
“You are a breath of fresh air, this is why I do what I do” says Dappy (former member of N-Dubz). Despite only being considered a professional musician for a short amount of time, he already been nominated for an ‘achievement through music’ award.
In addition to this, J-SOL has built up his profile through supporting well-known artists including Wretch 32, Bobby V, Chipmunk, Misha B and opened the show for Boyz II Men at the O2, to audiences of thousands.
Fast-forward ourselves to November 13th of 2015 and J-SOL is set to release a brand new hit by the title of ‘Changes’ which features East-London’s hottest rapper Paigey Cakey. Changes, is a modern day RnB/Pop song which stems from social media and the negativity that can be experienced through using it, as J-SOL says “the bad outweighs the good and can leave more of an impression than the positive”. A line in Changes that sums up how J-SOL and Paigey Cakey feel about negativity over social media is “fans and enemies can be the same thing‟, meaning haters are equally obsessed as fans, and fake friends are something that many people can relate to. J-SOL highlights an important message within this song that social media brings upon today’s society. The song is an absolute credit to each artist, projecting a very urban and R&B sound which has an extremely catchy beat that will have the entire population of the UK’s heads bobbing.
