If you’re a Britain’s Got Talent fan then you would have had the privilege of catching Calum Scott’s audition last night (Saturday 11th April) on the first episode of the series. If you haven’t seen it yet then it’s a must watch and Calum Scott is a name you must not forget. Introducing Calum Scott…
Calum took to the BGT stage last night sadly straight after his own sister was given four nos from the judges for her own sole audition. Now with extra nerves added but determined not to let them get the better of him, Calum walked on stage with his head held high. The 25 aspiring singer-songwriter performed a unique cover of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” and literally blew every one away. His unique vocal tone will make anyone instantly stop what they are doing to simply listen to this on point voice. Slow paced but completely mesmerizing it was a perfectly skilled performance. So much so it caused Simon to, rightly so, push his Golden Buzzer sending Scott straight through to the live semi finals. Well deserved and well earnt Calum!
Calum is an up and coming singer-songwriter from Hull who was aspired by his sister to get into music and to perfect that insane talent that he has. The 25 year old is the lead singer of the Maroon Five tribute band called Maroon Four who tour around the UK. Not only that but Calum is also part of the duo “The Experiment” which is made up from Calum himself and John McIntyre. The duo formed in 2012 and they have been perfecting their craft by songwriting and producing since then. Their debut track “Girl (You’re Beautiful)” was released on iTunes in September 2014.
