Here’s a top tip for making your journey to Ibiza an easy and special one. Why not do as we did and fly via Monarch airlines? Monarch the scheduled leisure airline, operates flights to Ibiza from Birmingham, London Gatwick and Manchester airports during the summer season with fares, including taxes, starting from £39 one way (£100 return).
During your trip you may want to book the No1 Lounges Ltd at Gatwick too. Arrive at the airport, check into the No1 Lounges where you can relax in comfortable seating, drink as many drinks as you like and enjoy snacks too, while everyone else in the airport has to deal with the hustle and bustle. Hotel or Villa?
As a group, the question of Hotel or Villa is big one that needs to be addressed. Hotels are great. You’ll wake up in the morning, have breakfast in the hotel or search for food in a local cafe, come back and your room is tidied and clean, no effort needed. However staying in a hotel means you’ll probably lose the friendly, community element that a Villa holiday in Ibiza can bring.
For our group trip to Ibiza, we chose a Villa, and not just any old villa, we went with Chic Ibiza Villas.

Villa Panorama
Villa Panorama is a gloriously spacious 6 bedroom villa on the hillside of Puig den Valls, only 5 minutes from the action of Marina Botafoch and Ibiza Town. Villa Panorama also boasts 4 bathrooms (2 en-suite), swimming pool, fully equipped kitchen, utility room, washing machine, dishwasher, large flat screen TV, a very loud music station (for the pre and after parties at the villa) and even a BBQ area.
All of the creature comforts you desire or need for a comfortable stay are here. The villa sleeps up to 16 people. Our group trip had 6 of us in total. Everyone had their own room, everyone had their own space, everyone seem satisfied after the initial scramble of choosing who got which room.
Panorama has an electric gate, which was perfect as we were able to drive our rental car, straight into the villa grounds to be kept safe and sound at night.
There’s something really special about these villas. You and your friends will be together all the time, yet you’ll all have your own space when you simply want to relax in your room and chill (or recover from the night before). Once your up, breakfast with friends is a treat, we all gathered in the kitchen and made food together, it brought us all together, we all helped each other, early risers made coffee for late risers, late risers made lunch for early risers. Villas like this are perfect for friends, family, birthday, hen and stag parties, it’s great, you’ll love it.
At any given time, you’ll have your mates soaking up the sun on the sun loungers by the pool, some will be swimming in the pool, some will be sitting in the Jacuzzi next to the pool, some maybe lounging in the living area. It’s complete escapism and worth every penny spent.

Villa BeeGee
Villa BeeGee is ever so slightly smaller than Villa Panorama. It’s clean white walls and minimalist designed interior will relax you on entry. Surrounded by pine trees in the prestigious urbanisation of Can Germa, 5 minutes from Cala Salada beach.
Villa BeeGee is cosy, comfy and very homelike. You’ll wake up in Villa BeeGee with almost a yoga inspired feeling. It sleeps up to 10 people and you’ll be spoilt for choice for rooms.
Once owned by the BeeGees, Villa BeeGee is simply beautiful. It’s captivating and the views of the sunset are surreal. Lounging around the pool area is treat, the sun-drenched villa is perfect for tanning and chilling and errr fooling around with your friends.

The living room boasts a Flat screen TV, Bang & Olufsen stereo (the kind you wish you had in your own living room at home). The huge L shaped suede sofa is perfect for lounging, Dyson Air-Blade fans within the rooms, glass dinning table with eclectic cutlery for serving dinner. What more could you possibly want from a Villa?
Walk over to the almost floor to ceiling glass doors in the living and you arrive at the balcony. The balcony has a huge wooden table and overlooks the pool area. We all had lunch alfresco with the comfort of the shade from the balcony. It was bliss.
Its location and proximity to good access roads makes it the perfect secluded hideaway for those looking for a characterful hideaway not too far from the action. The infamous Pikes Hotel is two minutes away, Cafe Del Mar only five minutes away and D’alt Villa is less than 20 minutes by car.

Conversely… You may want to try something different, like Hotel Es Vive
If after reading all of the above, and you still feel like you want to stay in a hotel in Ibiza, then let me bring your attention to something different. Forget the massive chain hotels, where everyone is a complete stranger and maybe opt for something a little more eclectic, a little more art deco and simply a little more friendly. Hotel Es Vive maybe the place for you.
Hotel Es Vive is located close to Ibiza town and just 50 meters from Es Figueretas beach. Some of Ibiza’s most famous night spots are a short car journey away and the long white beach of Play D’en Bossa, alongside a variety of lively beach bars and restaurants, is just 10 minutes from the hotel.
The Skybar at Hotel Es Vive is perfect for chilling, drinking and meeting new people. Pop upstairs to the Skybar before you head out to one of the wild Ibiza parties and you may find that you end up staying at the Skybar because it’s simply that nice.
Not only do you have the Skybar, you also have a range of room sizes available from single, to triple, to twin doubles to suites. While staying there you have to try the Deco Restaurant, oh and don’t forgot the spa and pool area. We had lots of fun at the pool and I am sure you will too.
