Go behind the scenes of Hidden Figures with Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monáe & Pharrell Williams, in a brand new clip.
“What they did had a lot to do with where we are in space and science today” comments Taraji P. Henson in this behind the scenes sneak peek of Ted Melfi’s forthcoming biopic of the African-American women behind NASA’s space race triumph, HIDDEN FIGURES.
As producer, Pharrell Williams highlights in the clip, which is made available today by Twentieth Century Fox, “what they were responsible for would go on to change the history of [the United States].” It is their story that is finally being told in HIDDEN FIGURES.
HIDDEN FIGURES is the incredible untold story of Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughn (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monae)—brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race, and galvanised the world. The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big.
HIDDEN FIGURES stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monáe, Kirsten Dunst, Jim Parsons, Mahershala Ali, Aldis Hodge, Glen Powell and Kevin Costner and will arrive in UK cinemas in 2017.
