BBC Radio 1Xtra has announced the line-up for this year’s 1Xtra Live. Hosted by the 1Xtra DJ family, the station’s flagship live music event will take place at The O2 on Saturday 22 September.

Performing at 1Xtra Live in 2018 will be: Chance The Rapper, Chip, Ella Mai, Jorja Smith, MIST, Mr Eazi, Pusha T and Yxng Bane with more names announced in the coming weeks.

With Chance The Rapper flying to the UK to headline the event, 1Xtra Live promises to bring the best in the UK and international black and urban music to the biggest ever audience. Chance The Rapper has recently released four new tracks and has also collaborated with DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber and Quavo on a new single titled ‘No Brainer’. In 2016, Chance The Rapper performed in the 1Xtra Live Lounge and dedicated his seminal piece of ‘All We Got’ to Kanye West which has earned over 2.7 million views on 1Xtra’s YouTube channel. This year’s 1Xtra Live audience can expect the Grammy Award winner to perform hits from his Colouring Book album including ‘No Problem’ and ‘All Night’.

Rising British R&B star Jorja Smith recently performed at Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend in Swansea. Jorja Smith’s two singles ‘Teenage Fantasy’ and ‘On My Mind’ were both named “Hottest Record In The World” by Annie Mac. Jorja also took fourth place on the BBC Music Sound of 2017 list.

Pusha T has recently released new music from his Kayne West-produced album ‘Daytona’. Pusha T also featured on the Kanye West & Kid Cudi: Kids See Ghosts track ‘Feel The Love’.

Over the years, 1Xtra Live has built a reputation for bringing some of the hottest international and British acts on the black and urban music scene to one stage in cities across the UK, with artists including Kendrick Lamar, Alicia Keys, French Montana, Wiley, Ms Dynamite, Stormzy, Travis Scott, Bryson Tiller, Lady Leshurr, Bugzy Malone, Krept & Konan, Sean Paul, Tinie Tempah and Kelly Rowland all having performed at previous events including Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham.
