How important is beauty to you?
It’s a bonus, but not the be all or end all. I love to perv on beauty, whether it’s a beautiful woman or painting.
What’s your skincare routine?
I moisturise after I shower; if I don’t, my skin feels tight. Then I put my make-up on, and when I get home I take my make-up off, wash and moisturise again.
Do you have any top beauty tips?
Taking your make-up off every night.
What is your must-have beauty product for your handbag?
I’m an eyeliner addict. I have MAC eyeliner that you apply with a brush.
Are you a fan of false eyelashes?
I love them. Sue Marsh, the lash legend, experiments with feathers and really fun designs on my lashes.
Who’s your ultimate beauty icon?
Natalia Vodianova is one of the most beautiful women in the world.
Are you a lipstick or gloss girl?
I used to be stick but moved to gloss recently, and sometimes just lip balm. I love Lucas Papaw Ointment.
Eyes, lips or eyebrows?
Eyes are the entrance to your soul. I love to open up eyes with make-up.
Favourite cosmetic brand?
I love Yonka. I always go back for face moisturiser and cleanser.
The Doolittle swagger is quirky and fun. How do you keep up?
I don’t follow trends. I just like what I like and try to make it my own.
Which venue are you most looking forward to on your tour?
Shepherd’s Bush – I’ve seen some of my favourite artists there and never thought I’d be playing there.
Any surprises lined up?
Lots. I am playing more with the visual side, extending my band and I’m going to have so much fun.
UK and US artists often team up now. Any you want to work with?
Tonnes. The Pharcyde, Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach, Donald Fagen, Musiq, Aretha Franklin, Jack White, Vampire Weekend, Justin Timberlake, N*E*R*D, Brandon Flowers… [the list goes on!]
