DVD competition: SUS

Scene-from-Sus-directed-b-001To celebrate the September 6th release of the SUS on DVD we have 5 copies of the film to give away. From the pen of Barrie Keefe, writer of the The Long Good Friday, SUS is the powerful crime drama based on the acclaimed play of the same name.

SUS is an emotionally charged and incredibly tense crime drama that serves as a powerful outcry against past institutional racism. The film stars Clint Dyer as a Delroy; a victim of police brutality who suffers at the hands of police officers Wilby and Karn played by Rafe Spall (Pete VS. Life, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) and Ralph Brown (Withnail and I, Lock Stock, Nighty Night).

The story is set on election Night 1979; when Margaret Thatcher is on the cusp of power. A young black man is held on suspicion of murdering his pregnant wife. Officers Karn and Wilby, racist to the core and high on the prospect of a Conservative Party victory, try to lure the suspect into a quick confession. But the night has just begun…Callous humiliation gives way to a barrage of sinister violence.  As morning approaches the police desperately resort to physical and mental torture, all leading to a devastating conclusion.
