Music lovers are invited to soak up the British summertime at Dreamland Margate’s ‘Sunset Sessions’, a series of alfresco gigs and DJ sets at the iconic Victorian seaside amusement park.
The newly imagined park – which reopened following a £25 million investment in May 2017, will provide a truly unique backdrop for the free summertime gigs with an array of seaside street food, restored 1930s vintage rides, beautifully landscaped gardens and art installations.
The eclectic lineup includes reggae favourites, Trojan Sound System, and world-renowned Sister Bliss from Faithless DJ set. Music acts also include Sam and The Womp, The Dub Pistols, Jenova Collective and an indie DJ battle with The Charlatans’ Tim Burgess versus Blur’s Dave Rowntree. With over 50 years of musical heritage dating back to legendary performances from The Who and Rolling Stones, Dreamland is a fitting music destination to be hosting this impressive line-up.
Alongside the live music, visitors can also sit back and relax with a delicious sundowner cocktail at The Slide Bar, or they can venture on up to the Tree Top Bar to enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the sunset over Margate’s famous coastline.
The live music will be free for all to enjoy on Fridays and Saturdays evenings from 7pm until 10pm. While the park will offer unlimited ride wristbands at £12.50 for big kids (over 1.25m) and £9.00 for little kids (under 1.25m).
