DO IT BIG Music Showcase | Thurs 22nd March

The ‘DO IT BIG’ music showcase returns to entertain you with a diverse collection rising UK talents, on Thursday March 22nd, at the Cornersh0p Bar in Shoreditch.

Hosted by the Grace Laiker, music will be provided by DJ Shock (Kiss & 1xtra) and the show will feature seven impressive artists that you won’t yet have had the pleasure of enjoying this year – ‘DO IT BIG’ is keeping it FRESH. Founded in 2005 by rapper King Kash, Flavour’s Catherine Ababio has come aboard and together they bring you this one-off show with a range of musical talents in a quirky intimate setting. Performing on the night will be:

Not only has the rapper/producer King Kash been featured as one Flavour Magazine’s ‘Future Flavours’ but he has performed extensively over the years and gained credibility amongst his peers. His EP ‘Worth the Wait’ is set to be released this year and is sure to be just that! Friend and fellow artist Cynikal (pictured left) is on the cusp of blowing up and has received support from MTV Base, Channel 4, BBC 1Xtra, BBC Asian Network, Choice FM and more -his performance is not to be missed. Heading up the females will be soulful singer Dionne Reid (pictured below), whose highlights have included performing at Glastonbury and Lovebox, featuring on a track by MOBO Award winning rapper Sway, and may be giving a sneak peek of her latest.

Industry tastemakers, Urban Development, have described one of the acts due to perform at ‘DO IT BIG’ as ‘one of the most gifted emerging singers in the UK’ and fresh off the release of her ‘Star Music Vol 2′, Andrea Galaxy as cultivated a unique style of experimental RnB / Soul which she will be showcasing on the ‘DO IT BIG’ stage. Frosted Ice Inc. female duo 2Amplified have gone from strength to strength, gaining popularity since they formed in 2005. Together R!A & Klassic bring a fierce femininity to the rap scene which will be evident when you see them perform in the cosy Cornershop Bar basement. Also on the line up is singer/songwriter/rapper/producer Stampie Major is a versatile artist to say the least. Taking his influences from stars like Timbaland, Keri Hilson and Lauren Hill, he can’t wait to perform tracks from his upcoming EP. Rounding off the line up is Monir ‘Angelo’ Elouali (@AngeloSinger) who has had a passion for writing and performing since he was nine years old. This year he is putting the finishing touches to his debut mixtape ‘Forever Thinking’ and he will be sampling some of his original material just for you!

Doors open: 7PM, show starts at 8PM and will be wrapped up by 11pm. The bar closes at 1AM.
