To celebrate the all-round greatness of students across the UK, MTV’s Student of the Year competition is searching for a youngster that best embodies the spirit and values of being a star student.
Open to all students across the country, applications will be vetted by a panel of MTV and industry representatives who will be looking for someone who inspires, excites and ignites on every level.
From a positive and proactive approach, to passion, drive and creativity – they will be looking for someone who is as digitally savvy as they are street smart and a team player. A mover and shaker who stands out from the crowd!
In return, MTV will offer a three-month paid placement over summer 2013 at MTV’s offices in Camden, as well two tickets to this year’s European Music Awards in Amsterdam, an Apple iPad mini and a £500 voucher towards a holiday of their choice. The total prize value for the winner is over £7,000.
As well as one overall winner, four runners up will also receive a one-week work placement and a raft of MTV merchandise. Applications are now live and students can apply here – with a video entry telling people why they think they deserve the title of Student of the Year.
MTV will announce the winner during the week commencing 24 June and the winner will begin their three month work placement on 1 July.
