Inc., announces the release of “CONS EP VOL. 1,” a compilation of original collaborations from both established and emerging artists across various genres. Created in celebration of the recent re-launch of the Converse CONS sneaker collection, “CONS EP VOL. 1” debuts on the heels of last month’s release of “97.92,” the second single to be featured off the EP by California hardcore punk band, Trash Talk and Brooklyn hip-hop group, Flatbush Zombies. In November 2013, Converse previewed “CONS EP VOL. 1” with the release of “GAUCHOS,” the debut collaboration by rap collective RATKING and Eric Copeland of electronic music group, Black Dice.
“CONS EP VOL. 1” also showcases new tracks from a roster of CONS Ambassadors including Trash Talk, Flatbush Zombies, Harry Fraud, The Bots, Los Rakas, and The Shrine.
Converse’s ongoing support of artistic expression and musical creativity, “CONS EP VOL. 1” highlights an assortment of unique tracks, several of which were recorded at Converse Rubber Tracks in Brooklyn, NY. From the unique blend of Harry Fraud’s hip hop-inspired beats with the neo-soul sound of The Internet, to the eclectic mash-up of the low-fi punk rock rhythm of The Bots with Los Rakas’ bilingual hip-hop flow, “CONS EP VOL. 1” features the following track list:
1. Trash Talk x Flatbush Zombies – “97.92”
2. RATKING x Eric Copeland of Black Dice – “GAUCHOS”
3. Harry Fraud x The Internet – “Better Liar”
4. The Shrine x Barrett Avner – “Rare Breed”
5. The Bots x Los Rakas – “Spaceshippin”
