To See Is Not To Speak Conrad Jon Godly

Conrad Jon Godly will be showcasing his work for the first time in the UK. The exhibition follows his last solo show – Dark Is Light in Kyoto, Japan.

The exciting selection of work consists of oil on canvas paintings which ‘address the relationship between nature and the sublime’.  Godly is based in Grisons, eastern Switzerland, where the surrounding mountains heavily influence his artwork. Godly, however, does not paint landscapes but instead works to depict the essence of his subjects, raising the questions – What is the essence of a mountain? What is light? How does reflection work on snow?
