In a powerful burst of self-expression Charm’n releases her first full album Gangsta Goddess. The album comes after being nominated earlier this year for the ‘2017 Best Artist of the Year’ at the Ohio Hip-Hop Awards and will be available for download and streaming from 27th December 2017.
Raised in a tough neighbourhood in Kentucky, Charm’n’s music has been shaped by a difficult upbringing where her anger and frustration lead to her spending time in juvie, which surfaced as a blessing in disguise and the realisation that she deserved better and wanted more. This change in attitude lead her to embark upon her career in music. Influences from artists such as Lil Yachty and Post Malone can be heard on Gangsta Goddess but her music is really a reflection of her gritty, passionate personality and her strong ‘say it as it is’ attitude.
Charm’n initially recorded her music herself, saying “I had nobody else to do it for me. Everyone I tried to work with was either unprofessional or didn’t believe in me as a female artist. I had to do it for myself. So I did”. The album Gangsta Goddess features a commanding hip hop/urban beat and powerful lyrics which are tied to the artist herself and past life experiences.
An incredibly busy and hardworking individual, Charm’n also studies fine arts at college and models aalongsideher music career. Keep up to date with she does by following her social media pages like Instagr
