Introducing the new track and music video “Peaches” by Urban punk artist BYOB, out on 10th October.
Peaches is the hot and summery re-work of the Stranglers classic. The track has had a 2010 facelift and B.Y.O.B delivers a clear winner here. With an urban, street-smart, and fearless approach to the Stranglers version, B.Y.O.B has cleverly entwined the original hit with his signature B.Y.O.B punkie twist.
Signed by Loaded Records, who brought us the likes of Fat Boy Slim and the Freemasons, BYOB showcases his eclectic musical talent and he delivers an outstanding modern upgrade, the result: a sure-fire hit track.
BYOB is also liked by Lady Gaga who recently chose one of his tracks to enter on stage.
‘Peaches’ was a massive summer smash-hit for the Stranglers in 1977 and B.Y.O.B cleverly builds on this heritage by hitting the just the right note between nostalgia and modernity, as he journeys through the song. Dubstep remixes from Project Bassline and Ado take this even further, helping to provide a complimentary re-mix package.
London artist B.Y.O.B has previously collaborated with J Majik & Wickaman on the track ‘Save My Life’ and continues to build on the underground success of his hit ‘Prescription’, a dirty punk rap backed by the music of ‘Walk Like An Egyptian’
B.Y.O.B has developed a strong UK following and has had the most watched music video on YouTube on one day with ‘Prescription’
2010 is shaping up to be a phenomenal year for B.Y.O.B. Having performed throughout the UK, he is quickly becoming one to watch.
Peaches will be followed by his debut album, ‘Everything In Moderation’. It features tracks ‘Save My Life’, ‘Young Living’, ‘I Like It’ and the hit ‘Prescription’.
